it's Monday, the 22nd of the month here and yesterday was Father's Day. The mall was crowded as always of families celebrating dad's special day. You might find it weird why they celebrate at the mall. But the malls here are really huge and has everything in it. It has boutiques, dog parks, restaurants, cinemas, game zones, supermarket, bookstores, apple stores, electronic shops, etc! Everything you need and anything you want to do, you can find in one huge mall. But if my dad was alive, we won't bring him there. His favorite restaurant maybe or just in his house and that's if we wouldn't be traveling out of the country. Do you celebrate Father's Day?

we celebrated Father's Day along with hubby's birthday last Saturday, dinner with the whole family. Normally, we don't celebrate with all the people, either we celebrate in advance or later. It is difficult to celebrate at the mall with all the people there.

Too crowded. Not my type of place to celebrate a special day.

Most malls in the US have closed now in my part of the US. To reach the closest mall that is still open, we'd have to drive six or so hours. There used to be three within half an hour of our house. We don't do anything for Father's Day. I stopped when my Dad passed away when I was 13. Pretty never has been interested in holidays since she became a teenager and older.

That's way too far away. The biggest mall is just 15minute walk away form our condo and 15 minute drive without traffic from our house.

@toniganzon Most people in the US just order stuff online instead of going to a store to buy it now.

@DaddyEvil Same here but people go to the mall not only for shopping. The teens spend thier time in game zones to play laser tags, wall climbing, etc. And people go there for everything, because it's a one stop shop and entertainment place. Watch a movie at the cinema while their dogs are being groomed. Or husbands stay in the coffee shop while waiting for their wives getting thier hair done at the salon or at a skin clinic. Our malls even have a medical laboratory.

That mall sounds really nice. I hope you had a good Father's day. We just stayed at home.
