Why Should You Be Allowed to Vote in a Country if You Aren't a Citizen of That Country?

United States

Some people hate Trump. I get it. I don't hate him, but I get it. But common sense is common sense and The Constitution of The United States remains the governing authority. President Trump wants to ensure that only citizens of the USA are able to vote in USA elections. Sounds logical, right? But Federal Judges, and I'm going to add my own opinion here, left -leaning Democrat judges, are stopping President Trump from requiring proof of citizenship to vote in American elections. If you're just a visitor or illegal immigrant here in the United States, you have no say in how we govern ourselves. The right to vote is a privilege and an honor reserved for U.S. Citizens. I can't to to Scotland and vote in their elections because I'm not a Scottish citizen. Makes sense, right? But for some reason when it comes to President Donald J. Trump, everybody wants to jump on the bandwagon in Trump-bashing and declaring everything he does is wrong and hateful. I'm shaking my head.

@looeyville I, an Irish citizen, can and do vote in the UK but can’t in the republic of Ireland. I am an EU citizen but not able to vote in elections to the European Parliament. I’m very special!
