Flower on cactus. / myLot

I found this cactus at least eight years ago. My husband and I were coming back from a walk and a car had run over it. It was about one inch in length. The poor thing was calling out to me for help. I send my husband home to get some newspaper to put it on. After I got it home I planted it in a pot. Gave it some water and and put it in the sun. It looked so sad for awhile and than all of a sudden it started to grew. Two years later it had a pink flower. This year it has a pretty yellow flower.

Cactus's need love too. They can survive a lot but if you do not tell them, like anything else they will die. Its funny how that works.

I even had to move it to a bigger pot a few years later. It is one happy cactus.

It’s nice to see a cactus in bloom. When I was young, my grandfather had a large collection of different cacti, but I never saw any of them flower. I think it’s the kind of climate that makes them bloom like that.
