Ariel Washington resident Riggin Bliss, 17, was on his way home from his summer employment on Monday night when Riggin was involved in a head on collision with another auto that was driven by 76 year old John Jessup who may have been impaired when his auto crashed intro Riggin's truck head on.
Charlie Silvas who is 19 years of age and a volunteer firefighter with the Cowlitz-Skamina Fire District 7 along with Fire Chief Nick Huesties and his colleagues went to the scene of the accident.
Riggin who suffered a broken femur, tibia, hip and bruises on his chest and carotid. John has been by the police with vehicular assault charges.
The good news is that Riggin is expected to make a full recovery even though it will be a long time before he can go back to work again.
Charlie is thankful that he and his fellow firefighters saved the life of his younger brother.

Usually it is the teens who are the perps, but this time it appears it was the other way around.

That is true since some teens believe that they are immortal taking risks driving on the highway.

Riggin should make a full recovery even though it will take him a while to recover.
