Keep Your Snags

If you want to have birds in your yard or keep them coming back keep the snags you might have in your yard. A snag is a standing dead or dying tree usually missing the top or most of the lower branches. These are useful to birds providing shelter in bad weather. They are also a source of insects to birds. Even if it falls and is lying on the ground it is still useful to them.
