I was writing about birds and animals, and as everyone knows, the largest bird in the world is the ostrich. The bird weights 230 pounds and stands 7 feet tall. Ostriches are also the fastest species on two legs and can run up to 43 mph. Maintaining a 30 mph pace for ten minutes. Is there anyone who would like to race an ostrich? Look at an ostrich running

Quite the runner. When you look at the legs you can tell they are muscular.

There is no point racing an ostrich because it will outrun me. Those things can run..

An ostrich running at full speed makes the special effects of seeing The Six Million Dollar Man running at full speed like a slowpoke by comparison.

@RasmaSandra That is true since I have read stories on the internet that ostriches are hard to catch in a foot race.

Don't think I 'd like to meet one up close, let alone race!

@Ronrybs as long as the bird was friendly I would not mind meeting one up close

I happened to see an Ostrich here in one of mini zoo when I joined the educational tour of my fellow school principal. Yes it's talker than me for I'm only 2.5 feet in height.

My cousin used to raise Emus but I don't think I have ever seen an ostrich in person.

I was aware of ostrich racing in South Africa but did not realise how popular it is in the USA. Poor things Its legs would buckle if l got on one!

It is a survivor in a hostile environment. A powerful kick can disorient a lion.
