We just got back from a trip to a local Farmer's Market and Aldi. At the market we go to, we always buy their candy onions, which are amazing. I got things to make burgers tonight for dinner. I was running low on chili lime seasoning, so I bought some of that. We also bought a few snacks. Having a growing teenage boy in the house, snacks go very quickly around here. My son has always been able to eat. I remember dropping him off at my mom's when he was little, and I packed him a large lunch. He was a year and a half at the time, and my mom was watching him for us so we could go run some errands. It consisted of a full-sized sandwich, cherry tomatoes, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, a fruit snack, some Goldfish crackers, and, I believe, some Jello and pudding. Those were his typical lunches when he was little. He has always had a ton of energy, so he always ran it off. My mom acted shocked and told me there was no way he was eating all of that, and when I went to pick him up a few hours later, she told me he ate his entire lunch and ate some of her snacks she had there too. She was shocked and went, "Where is he putting it all?" I always joke he has a hallow leg. He is actually a tall and thin kid. It always amuses me that some of the thinnest people eat the most. He wasn't a picky kid when he was little, either and would eat almost anything we gave him. He didn't start getting picky until around 4 years old. He's now getting where he is a lot less picky and is willing to try most food. He's a major foodie. He loves most things food-related. That said, his appetite has only grown with his age. Now he's 15 and eating like it's his job. I honestly feel like part of it is that he does burn off everything because he's always nonstop moving, and we were told it's highly suspected he has ADHD. They've been wanting to test him for it, and we may or may not be getting it tested, depending on how much it will cost us with insurance. We've always suspected, but they really want it tested with everything that has been going on lately. Today he went to fill the cat's water dish and left it full in the sink and forgot to put it back together. He is a very spacey kid, so are my husband and I; my husband is currently the only one with an actual ADHD diagnosis, but it's highly suspected I also have it. It gets interesting around here. We are all able to do what needs to be done, but there are a lot of things, like my husband leaving cupboards and drawers open, or me struggling to focus on some tasks, or my son doing what he did with the cat dish. At least life is never boring, although sometimes I'd love for it to be. It's also incredibly interesting when cooking. I am big with forgetting where I put things. I also easily jump subjects, as you can clearly see in my writing.

I think teenage boys have hollow legs sometimes.
