Here is the much-awaited post about the deals I scored at the Tree of Dollars last night. I know, I know... there are probably only a handful of people who get excited about being frugal, finding bargains, and seeing what's new at Dollar Tree. But I've always enjoyed writing these kinds of posts, so here we go. For exactly $38, I picked up: • Planters Honey Roasted Peanuts• Chips Ahoy Minis• Oreo Minis• Rocket Raccoon TY Beanie Ball• Starburst Tube Popsicles (10-pack)• TheraBreath Oral Rinse• Brazilian Sol Laundry Fragrance Booster• OxyDol Laundry Stain Lifter Powder• Active Hands Salve/Hand Lotion• Kinder Bueno Bars (2-pack)• Hershey's Milk Chocolate Snack Size Bars (4-pack) x2• Sour Patch Besties• Mountain Dew 2-Liter• Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes (10-count)• Drizzilicious Cookies & Cream x2• Women's Ankle Sport Socks (3-pack)• Lysol Toilet Bowl Clip-In Cleaner• Hershey's Kisses Cookies & Cream Hangtag Bag• M&M's Mini Milk Chocolate Hangtag Bags x2• Dr Pepper Knee-High Socks Everything except the Mountain Dew and the TheraBreath was either $1.25 or $1.50. The TheraBreath was either $3 or $5, and the 2-liter was $3. I feel like I found quite a few good deals, especially on some of the name-brand snacks and personal care items. Dollar Tree has definitely been stepping up its game lately. There's something oddly satisfying about walking out with two bags full of stuff and still spending less than forty bucks. Maybe later today I'll sit down and compare prices to other stores and see how much I actually saved. Right now, though, that sounds like entirely too much math for the morning. What are some things tht you prefer to pick up at the DT? I am a big fan of getting snacks for the kids there, as well as the cleaning supplies.

Just now
I shop less and less at Dollar Tree. To me, the value has been completely wiped out by its higher prices and new concept. I used to go there a lot and there were several items I thought had value. I hardly go there anymore. Maybe for the occasional greeting card, or to buy some of their cranberry juices. But that's about it.
