Hubby's Car Is Evidently a Magnet for People to Door-Ding It

Hubby watched, helplessly, as he saw the old man with the cane exit the car parked next to ours (we were inside eating lunch) and first he hit our car with his cane, then he hit our car with his car door two or three times trying to navigate himself out of his own car. So when we were done eating and went outside, sure enough there was a scratch on hubby's driver's side door. People are just oblivious and not as careful as they should be when opening their car doors while parked next to another car. It's so frustrating! You just can't have anything nice without someone else ruining it. Photo is not our car. Just a stock photo.

That would be pretty frustrating to be sitting watching your car get damaged.

I live in an apartment complex. I cannot tell you how many times I have walked outside to a new ding, or worse, the color of someone else’s car now on my door because the guy next to me just let his car door swing open and hit mine. People are careless and rude. My vehicle had nary a ding until I moved here.

Wow! Some people. I've read that modern cars are larger, wonder if that has anything to do with it

You are right..some people are not as careful as they ought to be when opening their door while parked next to another car. There was nothing you could have done in that situation than watch. I hope the scratch is a minor scratch
