Mine happened not surprisingly when I was a kid. I had put soap all over the bath tub. This was in the course of me supposedly taking a bath. The tub of course was very slippery..and I was pretending I was ice skating, because naturally so much ice skating takes place while one is is on their stomach.
. Anyway, I got out of control and banged my front tooth on the tub porcelain chipping my tooth. I started to cry when I saw tooth fragments in the tub. Thank God, it wasn't both my teeth. Anyway, I had to suffer with the "chip" for a few years, until my parents finally sprung for me to get a cap. Of course after than experience I hung up my "skates."

I was also a kid and with my brother and other two kids we were doing the stupid game from the porch of the hotel where we were vacationing. We climbed over fence, walked on the hedge of the roof of a four car garage and climb back to the porch. My foot went stuck, I lost balance and I threw myself toward the porch, badly breaking my elbow. At least I did not fell the other side, it would have been a high fell.2 people like this

I remember you said you broke your elbow. I didn't know it happened when you were a kid. I broke my wrist twice when I was a kid. I wasn't doing anything particularly stupid though, except in one event I was carrying stuff while riding my bike so didn't have a good grip on the handlebars. I would have been fine though..except some kids I knew from the neighborhood called out to me to watch them do a cheer. I saw it, and in the process of watching them, I Lost focus and ended up in the intersection when I grabbed for the handlebars to steer outI caused myself to crash.

@snowy22315 - It took more than one year and two surgeries before I could use my right arm again. We do stupid things when kids, I was only 7 year old when it happened, but the elbow still hurts when the storms approach.

I don’t know why, but I was trying to cut up a squash about twelve years ago, not by placing it on a cutting board, but by holding it, and “skinning” the thing. My knife slipped, missed the spaghetti squash, and sliced into between my thumb and pointer finger. A big chunk of skin was flapping back and forth. I drove to the ER and ended up getting about six stitches. It was incredibly dumb.

@AmbiePam OH it was? I thought you said you were trying to open a package and grabbed the butcher knife because it was the only sharp thing handy.

Those things happen. Didn't you cut your self with a butcher knife one time too while opening a package? I cut myself slicing bread one time while I was drinking..bad combination!

Mine would be when I was somewhere between 3 and 5. My brother is four years older than me and our parents had taken us to the park to play on the playground and he was sliding down the slid feet-first on his stomach. Now back in the 1960's sliding boards were made of real metal. Not safe at all! So I mimicked him and slid down feet-first on my stomach and when my feet hit the ground, my head hit the end of the metal sliding board, slicing it open. I had many stitches and I still have the scar.

Oh wow .that would hurt. I am kind of surprised though..usually those metal slides weren't fast. You usually had to scoot yourself down them

@snowy22315 I wasn't running. I don't know what got into me. I saw the bottle and kicked it intentional..a demon must have entered me
