France advanced to Quarter Finals but referee did very bad judgement

France advanced to Quarter Finals but the referee backed the Paraguay team. Penalty was denied, cards were not shown. It looked like Referee deliberately tried to defeat world champions France just because they are the greatest challengers of Argentina. The referees in this world cup are blind to Latin American teams

I did not see the game.
I saw a goal being denied to Croatia because of offside rule being held valid by VAR.
Some people point to too much technology taking away pleasure from the game.
By the way, I think the Offside rule can often be too rigid.
There should be some flexibility in that rule.

Egypt lost marginally to Argentina by late Argentinian goals.
Not very sure about the bias but it could be there.

The referee was not very good.
And at times he did seem blind to a few things going on

I'm sure there are good and bad referees just as in all professions.

thanks Judy in soccer it matters because showing no cards or giving wrong penalty can favour one team
