Lately I tried using several leaves of oregano for it's good for cough. Yes, it relieved me of my cough.
I put 10 leaves of Oregano in a kettle with 2 cups of water and boiled for 10 minutes. I poured them out into 2 separate cups. I let them cool off and drank 1 cup in the morning and the remaining in the evening.
I wanted to find out more of it's benefits to one's health. And here they're as follows according to AI:
1. It contains high levels of flavonoids and phenolic acids, which help protect cells and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.
2. It has an active compounds like carvacrol help neutralize harmful bacteria (like E. coli and Staph) and may inhibit certain viruses, making it a popular folk remedy for colds and sore throats.
3. It has an anti-inflammatory properties may help soothe muscle aches, ease menstrual cramps, and reduce tissue inflammation.
Have you tried it?

When I was young, my grandmother would make it to relieve my cough. I didn’t like the taste, but I loved the aroma it produced. It almost made my cough disappear in just a few days, though the effect felt slow at first. Once it kicked in, the recovery was long-lasting, and while I was taking it, my cough didn’t come back for a long time.
