What's going on with Mitch McConnell?

The US Senator from Kentucky has been in the hospital for over a week with no explanation from his team except that he is "receiving excellent care" and "improving".
Yesterday though it was reported that he was discovered unconscious at home and received CPR after a suspected heart attack. By the night people were leaking that he has been declared "brain dead". His wife Elaine Chao left the US days ago for her native country--China. She is apparently still there while her husband is in the hospital with the unknown status.
This morning former McConnell employee Scott Jennings claimed to have spoken to him for 20 minutes about Iran, Ukraine, etc. Of course I don't believe that smarmy worm. He will say anything. A few other people have now chimed in that they've spoken to Mitch. Interestingly there are no pictures or audio as proof of life.
I certainly am no fan of Mitch McConnell but I also don't wish him dead. I'm not religious or superstitious but I never wish people I don't like harm. I am always afraid that it will boomerang and hurt someone I love. Yeah I'll run my mouth but it isn't going to be about how much I want someone dead.

Well, Jennings probably DID talk to McConnell. No one, if you’ll notice, has said that he talked back. They’re all saying THEY talked to HIM. 
I do not think that they want a special election in Kentucky so close to the “regular” election. They’re already worried about the November election, they don’t want to see a Democrat take McConnell’s seat as an early indicator.
There’s always that thought in my head hoping McConnell stays alive (or keeping him on life support) until near the election, a thing about “sympathy vote,” like Mel Carnahan (the Missouri candidate who won the election after dying in a plane crash in 2000). Truthfully, though, the Democratic candidate to fill his seat is Charles Booker, and I do not see this state electing a black man.

I do not wish what Senator McConnell is going through on my worst enemy either. This looks like a real life version of The Twilight Zone.
