A lovely surprise!

As you know I’m always Freegling things. I had accumulated a lot of large plastic sacks, the type that come filled with garden compost, or bird seed, that sort of thing. So I asked whether anyone had a use for them, and someone replied and said they would come on Monday.
I collected them all up in a bundle and put them out by the garage. Then I sent instructions as to how to find our house (I have a set of detailed instructions I just copy and paste each time).
Monday came and went and they were still there, and I thought perhaps the person wasn’t coming after all… Tuesday came and I sent a reminder saying they were still there but still they didn’t come and I didn't hear anything.
In the evening we went to a school concert, and when we got home I had a message saying:
“Many thanks for your plastic bags! Fair exchange: just dropped some RAW coffee beans through your door. Home grown in my garden in Malawi. Roast for 9 mins @ 210 C on a pizza pan top shelf of conventional oven...other ovens available. 100% Arabica. Enjoy!”
Well that was a lovely surprise! There was certainly no need to give me anything in return and especially not just for some unwanted bags… but anyway I was very happy, what a lovely gesture; I’ve never roasted my own coffee before!

That was very nice of them! I would have needed to find somebody to pass the raw coffee beans on to had they given them to me. We don't like or use coffee.

Such a lovely gesture on their part. Good that you can make use of those coffees beans.
