@Traceyjayne I drink coffee every day regardless of the weather or season and I eat ice cream during the winter too

In the colder months I would have to say coffee too …..

I have thought about it ….The Mister says that they are ONLY for old people ( can you tell he is not keen on me having one). In one way it would be a great help that I wouldn’t have to carry everything. However, on the other hand they do seem a bit cumbersome and I know would just end up with a trolley full of squashed items….

@Traceyjayne I got one when Big One was a baby. I had to get two buses each way to work and back, and she was at a nursery on the same site. So we had to get a bus together, then walk across town with her in her pushchair, then get another bus. And I always had a lot to carry as well - my lunch, nappies for her (we used washable ones which we had to take with us each day) and often groceries to take home as well. That was all fine as long as there were no other prams, pushchairs or wheelchairs on the same bus. But if there was one then I would have to get Big One out of the pushchair, leave her sitting on the pavement, unload all my stuff and carry it on to the bus, fold up the pushchair and load that on, then pick her up, then do it all in reverse at the other end... and on a bad day I might have to do this whole rigmarole four times!! That was when I noticed that there was no limit to the number of shopping trolleys. So I ditched the pushchair and put all our stuff in a trolley and carried her on my shoulders (she was old enough to sit up), sometimes with an umbrella over us both. I didn't want to look like an old lady either so I (with her help) jazzed up the trolley. I don't use it so much any more as I'm back on my bike these days but I do use it when we go to festivals and things, and I have acquired a second one as well which the Italians often use for their bus-based shopping trips. Both of us have received compliments on our trolley designs!

@Fleura oh wow ….i love those .it certainly is a good idea ….i may have to have a re think. It would make things easier. Aren’t they heavy even when empty ? Whatever I put in I would then have to pull the whole lot up when I get on the bus !
