Last week had me going here and there for errands. It's good to see tasks get completed. They're not hard and big stuff, but they had to be done.
Husband and I went to two wakes - one for his colleague's father and another for his cousin's wife who got sick a few months back and died too soon. I hadn't seen her in years. I remember her as a sweet and thoughtful lady. Her husband died of COVID at the height of the pandemic. It can be quite uncomfortable to go to a wake, but I know this is appreciated by those who have lost a loved one, and it is a corporal act of mercy.
On a lighter note, we have finally enrolled our second daughter to a new music school. She's continuing her piano lessons soon. The studio is in a nearby mall, which is a good thing because I can do a bit of grocery or maybe play pickleball while waiting for her to finish.
And now it's Monday. I've listed down a few tasks and errands for the week. I'm hoping to get more things done before school opens in August

Schools start here around the end of August, too. I'm glad I don't have to get up and get Pretty breakfasts early in the morning anymore...
How old are your daughters? How many kids do you have?

I have two girls. First daughter is 18 and about to enter her second year in college. Second daughter is 15 years old and will be in Grade 11 soon. Many schools here, including the public schools, opened in June. My daughters' school/university follow the August to May academic calendar.

@almostoveryou I see... I was going to invite your daughters over for a while... Maybe next school break I'll invite them over, then.

It's just so lovely to have school start during the Fall. Many schools here reverted to the June to March academic calendar. My daughters' schools follow the August to May calendar.
I really hope my daughter enjoys her new school. She was in a sour mood during her trial lesson.
