It’s not time (yes it is) for another tune in this latest series of mine; today, we pay a visit to Bristol, England - “You’re Not the Only One I Know” by The Sundays. The Sundays were a melodic alternative rock band, active from 1988-1997, most-known here in the States for their single “Here’s Where the Story Ends.” Featuring the lovely vocals of Harriet Wheelser, the band was a staple on MTV’s 120 Minutes, and reached #4 on the U.K. chart with their debut studio album, 1990’s Reading, Writing and Arithmetic, the source of “You’re Not the Only One I Know.” “You’re Not the Only One I Know” was not released as a single, but is indicative of the band’s soothing, jangly dream pop that carried the group for close to a decade. Meanwhile, in real life, Wheeler and guitarist David Gavurin are partners and have a daughter, Billie. The two continue to make music in their home recording studio, but according to drummer Patrick Hannan, that music may never see the light of day. So let’s just enjoy what we have. Here they were College Radio and MTV. If you weren't listening or watching 120 Minutes, odds are you probably wouldn't have heard of them. Great band, though!

The video isn't available here. I'll try to find it another way if I get time.

@JudyEv - It's often licensing problems in certain countries, although I think the artist might have some say in it, especially indie artists. But Alan Parsons only blocked in Russia, which makes me think he personally did that.

Ah, that problem. I get that when I post my videos on You Tube. Usually they aren't muted in Australia, though. Weird.
