New York Police Department (NYPD) officer whose name was not released to the public used a harness to climb the Brooklyn Bridge on Wednesday July 8 to rescue a 31 year old woman who wanted to jump off of the bridge. The police officer had help from five other police officers who were able to convince the woman not to jump off the bridge after chatting with her for one hour. The woman was then taken off of the bridge by the police officers safely and she was taken by an ambulance to Woodhull Hospital where she will be taken care for her mental health problems by the doctors at that facility. Good that they were able to convince her not to take her own life. I hope that she will be able to recover from that and not think of doing it again.

You know, they put a net on the side of the Golden Gate Bridge for this very reason. They had too many jumpers. How sad is that? I really hope she gets long term health care.

The mental health of people these days is more fragile than in the past, with so many problems in the world, and in one's personal life. It was good that she got admitted to Woodhull Hospital and will be helped there.

I hope she doesn't go and kill herself after being saved George. She probably wasn't intending jumping. Most jumpers climb up, and jump No messing, The ones who are seeking attention or crying out for help go and sit down waiting on someone to climb up and talk to them
