I am not adocating or promoting this, but if you like burgers without the bun THe Flying Dutchman might be one to try. I saw this in my news feed one day, someone showed an example what it is really is replacing the bun with fried onion slices. I love onions this is the burger for me. Next time I make one I am going to try the Flying Dutchman. Here is a bit more info.
Flying Dutchman Burger made easy—step-by-step photos. Includes substitutions & storage, FAQs, and pro tips to nail it on the first try.

I know I would. I am going to Aldi and Lidl tomorrow I will get some ground turkey. Mine would be a turkey burger with the onion and cheese slices.

Looks an interesting concept.
Not much into Burger eating but I do like such ideas.
By the way, we have a Restro Bar named "Flying Dutchman" somewhere in our Metropolitan area.
Not sure if it has any relation to this name?

I think they call it that because it looks a bit like a flying saucer.
