My Interview

I had an interview yesterday with a recruiting agency. It was my first-ever video call, believe it or not! I had downloaded Microsoft Teams to my phone but had never used it, so I found a tutorial on YouTube that explained how it worked, and then I allowed plenty of time in advance of the interview to get ready and to make sure I had a good place to sit where I could prop up my phone so I wouldn't have to hold it and that the lighting was okay. The lady was super nice, and despite its being my first video interview, it went off without a hitch. Of course this was just for a staffing company and not an actual job, but after getting a feel for what I could do and what kind of position I wanted, she said she had a job in mind for me that would be interviewing people next month. It's just a temp job, but it goes from August to December, so that's a good steady income for a while. Also, temp jobs can end up becoming permanent, if the employer likes you. My last temp job was supposed to be for one day, and I ended up being hired and working for the company for eight years!
