I Like the Way Irish People Cuss

We have our own versions of cuss words in our multi lingual country. By the grace of God I grew up in a bit civilized community and I find cuss words rather stinking.

@looeyville Fiacre concurs. Although not given to salty language myself, I do find the coarse way in which others express themselves in my country somewhat picturesque. James doesn’t go around expressing himself thusly in his real life though, and he’s quite the gentleman. Script writers have also quite deftly put some quite florid language into the mouth of another of northern ireland’s best actors, Adrian Dunbar. One of his trademark ways of expressing dumbfounded surprise is to exclaim “Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee donkey”. But no, we don’t all go around saying such things as a matter of course.

You are not wrong, my roommate in the Marines was from Dublin and he was so funny. The whole barracks over that year tried to sound like him. It was like the thing to do and funny every time. Our black friend from Miami, find us some gold lucky charms. Some times he would say stupid Irish person, but made it even more funny then it became racist, but fun racist not like they meant any thing, actually think they hugged a few times, bring it in lucky charms.

One thing I have always said of not just the Irish, but most Europeans, is they can even make the "F" word sound classy. That's something, right there. As for foul language, the sailor in me never left.
