do you keep the inside of your home smelling great

i just smell something off inside. like burnt fish or something. but I'm not cooking anything yet. and I don't have any fish in the fridge either for me to cook. i went out to the car port and garden, there's no smell. actually it smells pretty good outside. so i opened the windows in all sides of the house. then turned on all the fan in every room. to let the air inside go out and to let the air outside to get in. to get rid of the smell inside and let the fresh air in. and there's immediate change of smell. the burnt smell is gone immediately. usually i close the windows and doors because the outside always smell bad from the car emission of the neighbours and the smell of canal or drainage outside, it's where they dump their pets poop. that's the way people do here in the Philippines. specially in the city. but today the smell is coming from inside. i don't know exactly where from inside is coming from. So do you always have something that you do daily to have your house smelling great always.
