Good Wednesday Morning

I'm losing track of days apparently because I'm either saying it's Tuesday or Thursday today. That's saying something since I've only been up for like two hours.
I hope that everyone is either having a good day or will have a good day.
I work for Chris today. She kindly told me the other day that she hired someone to work the days that I can't so I told her just give the girl my Wednesdays. If you're going to hire someone to do something then you should give her something steady not something that only happens once in a while. She's told me that she hasn't needed me more than I've worked EMS this month so there is that.
I get that she needs someone when I do work, I'm not really taking it personally. Honestly I'm not. I told her at the beginning of summer that I was going to take the shifts that I could get. I'm trying to make a career of this even if she's not.
We don't even talk anymore so it's not like anything CAN be personal lol.
I got in the wooden dowels yesterday and made sure they would fit in the doorway. Oh I was so happy they will fit and I can't wait to get started on the macrame for them. Something pretty that separates the rooms. I don't want a door between the house and the addition up at grams so I'm really excited.
I'm slowly catching up on pen pal letters. I'm liking writing again to people. Someone that doesn't live in this town and my venting can't get back to anyone.
I finished Pretty Little Scars by Kristen Proby and started They Didn't Tell Me Dragons Used Libraries by Lindsey Devlin. So far it's pretty cute. There's an ARC from Carrie Ann Ryan waiting for me in my email so that will follow.
I got lye in yesterday as well so I can start trying to make soap. It'll be an adventure that's for sure.
I have a small shift tomorrow, I'm doing a dr appointment. Friday I'm free and Saturday we have training. We signed up for Upper Cumberland weekend this year which is the last weekend in August.
We gunna start having some fun. I have so many things I want to do and having my Wednesdays I'll be able to do a little more.
Now if the rain would stop that would be amazing.
As I sit here typing this it just started to pour. Fun stuff. I'm so over it.
What is everyone else up to today? Hopefully y'all are dry.

Why is everything making you sad? Are you okay?
Chris and I have been having issues for a while and part of the problem is that she doesn't see it. She doesn't do anything wrong and her reasoning for most things is that this is just how she is. But how she is is hurting the people around her.

@AmbiePam I understand that. If you want to talk I'm here. I may not have advice but I can listen.
I doubt she will. I mean we're going on months now and all she's done is ruffle more feathers of other people now.

Yeah,,,probably.....a little. Yeah I'm taking it a bit personal. If this is how she defines friend, her friends don't need enemies.
I'm really hoping because it's making it really hard to get anything done outside.

It's sure nice when bosses will work with you on hours. Those books you mentioned sure sound interesting.
You could send the rain my way. It has been so hot I feel like I could melt.

Chris doesn't really have a choice and don't be fooled since in the same breath I was accused basically of being a flake. She's not doing it because she's being nice, she just doesn't really have another choice right now.
The problem with the rain is it won't rain consistently. It rains for about half the day and then it just gets hotter or a few minutes here and there. It most definitely hasn't cooled anything off here.
