Power Rangers

In the 1990s, we had all of the best children's shows, but maybe I'm biased. I grew up watching old TV shows and movies, but I also genuinely loved 90s TV. The hottest show on the air when I was a kid was The Power Rangers. Looking back on it now, I'm not entirely sure why it was the best show, because the acting was terrible, and it was a very low-budget show.
I just remember being obsessed. My brother and I never missed an episode, which was difficult when my dad practically lived in front of the TV, but somehow we always managed to watch it. We were so invested in this show that we started playing Power Rangers outside with our friends/family (my nieces and nephews who were near our age).
My niece always had to be the pink ranger, and I was the yellow ranger. My nephew was usually the black or blue ranger. My brother, for whatever weird reason, always had to be a putty. I think he just loved making the weird noises and running around as we chased him. I laugh now thinking back on it.
I never got into all of the other Power Rangers, and I'm not entirely sure why I loved the original so much. I can only remember so much about the show now that I'm older, but I remember being weirdly obsessed. It was one of the few shows my brother and I always agreed on.
The photo is of me with the green ranger at Kmart. Imagine my shock upon seeing a Power Ranger at Kmart. I'm now laughing because you can see the guy's face through the mask. It has to be the worst Power Ranger costume, but clearly child me was excited. This has to be one of the most 90s photos with me in my pink windbreaker jacket with a guy in a terrible green ranger costume in a Kmart.

Yeah I also remember this too. They had many variations and I also were one of those kids who loves to emulate them as a kid playing with other kids and we do have our idols which colors many preferred and since there is only one lady in the gang many girls would have no choice but choose pink.

@rsa101 Yes, they made a couple of movies, if I remember correctly. They were extremely popular when I was a kid, but after the 90s, people stopped watching. Their original audience grew up and stopped watching, and it just wasn't as popular with the generations after us.

There were two girls, pink and yellow, at least in the original version I watched. I haven't seen any of the other versions, and I haven't watched it since I was a kid. It was incredibly popular when I was a kid. For a low-budget show, it sure seemed to make money.

You probably made that guy’s day! I grew up on old movies too, really old ones. But I also grew up on TGIF, which introduced me to Full House, Family Matters, and other shows like The Cosby Show and Home Improvement. Clean shows that were genuinely funny too.

I still watch old movies; I watch a lot of 1930s and 1940s movies. I never could get into the silent movies. My favorite TV show growing up was I Love Lucy, and I lived for the Nick at Nite lineup, especially when they did their block party summers. I also loved TGIF and watched all of the shows you mentioned. I also watched Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, and a few of the other shows they had on, including a show called Brother's Keeper that only lasted for maybe one season. There are a lot of 90s shows and early 00s shows I remember going off the air fairly early on. I remember a show called Jesse that starred Christina Applegate, and I, to this day, am so mad it ended on a cliffhanger. That was an NBC show, though.I also really loved The Nanny. She had an annoying voice, but you got used to it.

I can't remember if my grandson watched Power Rangers or not. Probably did a little. He was a big fan of Spiderman. I think that when I grew up was a great time for cartoons and kids shows. We had the Flintstones and Rocky and Bullwinkle. Loves those two.

Power Ranger was launched in the Philippines when I was 1st year highschool, our childhood Sentai was Bioman. Hahahaha, but I also watched power rangers too.
I was always the Pink Hero and my younger cousin was always the Yellow hero, so when Power Rangers was launched, I passed the Pink Hero title down to her hahahaha.
