I do love a wrap.
I missed out for years as I always shied away from having a wrap . It was a sandwich for me or nothing ....
Is that ever how you feel about new foods ?
These days I do eat wraps and have even got my Mom eating them.
Sometimes you just don't feel like having stodgy bread .....and a wrap is perfect.
Anyway, for lunch I have a filling of ...
Lettuce
Home grown tomatoes
Celery
Onion
Ham
Mayo
Just perfect for this warm weather too.
What are you having to eat today ?

When I was fourteen, my mom and I had a shrimp wrap at a place called Long John Silver’s. Unfortunately, something about that was wrong, and we got food poisoning. We were so sick for so long we couldn’t beat hearing the word “wrap” or “shrimp” without getting nauseated. This shouldn’t have been a problem except for my sister thought it was funny so she’s throw those words out any time she wanted to mess with me. She didn’t do it so much to my mom because she respected my mom, but to me, she took great glee.
So far today, I’ve had Pacific veggie pizza.

Your pizza sounds good.
We are like that with chicken from a certain restaurant chain. We had it a few months ago and it was pink ....not the pink of under cooked, just pink, like it had been dyed ....it also tasted very weird, it has almost a spongey texture.
We mentioned it to a very unhelpful manager who said " I can get you another one but it will taste the same ".
We won't have chicken from there now
( Had the steak at the weekend at a different branch of the same chain and it was delicious ,)

@Traceyjayne What an odd thing to happen to chicken! I would have been put off by that completely.

@AmbiePam the Manager said it was cooked out of branch and just warmed up ....yuk ....but said we can't cook it fresh as we sell so many chicken New Yorkers it would be impossible. We had not ordered chicken New Yorkers , we were having a mixed grill ...we could couldn't really see the relevance of that remark.

I am not a picky eater, unless the food is not really tasty. I ate a lot especially new food in the street when I was young, but right now since I am getting old, and I have to budget, I make sure to eat only what I like, I have no luxury to taste new food that I see in store coz I don;t want to waste money if I bought something that I might not able to eat because the taste... I will really throw.

Sounds good. Be careful what lettuce you choose because of the recall recently. Home grown tomatoes sure sounds good. The things we get in the store are awful. Enjoy!
