It's Finally IN Season

I am in training at work for a few days.
The pace is rather slow, so plenty of time for reading for me.
I was going through the flipp app and checking out the previews for the grocery store flyers, most of which start their weekly sales tomorrow.
And great news, I noticed that locally grown Ontario Sweet Corn is advertised at a grocery store. And it is one of the higher priced stores we have, but the sale is a good one. They advertised corn for .25 per ear.
And it has been on sale for the past week or so at roadside stands, but sometimes if we buy corn too young, it is not as tastey, so we haven't done that this year.
So yes, one of my favorites is finally in season and I will be getting to that store to get me some of it.
Otherwise, I am back to work this week from a week's vacation. I took tomorrow off, my hubs and son want to get the basement primed and ready for painting. My son just had it finished--you know, wiring, framing rooms, and drywalling is all done now. Next will be either the tongue in groove ceiling or the leveling of the concrete floor. And then the bathroom installation and lastly the flooring and then the trim work.
What's new win your world today?

Many stores will use a popular item well priced to get people into the store. Corn is sure tasty. We used to get a variety called something and pearls. Can't recall the full name but it was sweet and juicy.

@celticeagle They try, but I work really hard for my money and if I can get items for a better price elsewhere, I'm out of there. Besides, the produce department is just inside the door, so get the corn and head to the check outs.

a new win is what I talked about. I think they harvested the corn here at some point, when I wasn't watching because the nearest place that grows corn..and it is a farm so they have quite a bit..there are none on the stalks even the stalks that were smaller than the others..like half grown..which seems weird. I wonder if it is possible they just didn't get any..but the stalks look healthy..probably harvested a week ago or so. That would make sense.

@Juliaacv Hope so. I have been eating corn since Memorial Day here and as usual as delicious as it is, I have grown tired of it. They will probably have it cheap again for Labor Day, maybe I will try to can some.

@snowy22315 It will be on sale next week probably for a dime an ear.
That is the really good stuff, love the corn from that grocery store, usually put some up if I need any, but I am still eating from last year's corn I froze. And it still tastes amazingly fresh.

Are you making the basement like a place to entertain or watch stuff and relax?

Must mention Corn.
I was out on the bike and in a field I saw Corn growing.
I had no idea we grew it here
Nothing new in my world today apart from pain.
I have done something to my right leg.
No idea what, only that sitting upright in a chair so cannot put my knees together as my right leg and groin are sore
