There’ll never be a garden again where lilacs scented the air and apple blossoms, whipped by the wind, created snow in spring. There’ll never be a garden again, where a tall oak tree wished me luck and brought us much love, spraying us with acorns in the autumn. Where we promenaded hand in hand and danced beneath a full moon. No, there’ll never be another garden like that again—only in my dreams.
