Not Another burger joint!

So, I wish the bigger town near to here would get a little creative, although it is not their fault really it depends on who wants to go in there. Althought they do have a Subway, Pizza Hut and Dominos,Chinese Mexican and Italian..They have now 3 fast food burger joints on the same stretch of road! This last one which is not open yet is going to be a Checkers. Checkers is a bit more expensive..and I went to one not too long ago on the Western side of the county because I hadn't been to one in years. The only thing I might want to try just for fun is there funnel fries. I mean why couldn't they have put in a Taco Bell, drive through coffee place, or a donut shop? I never saw a place so lacking in FF options..they need another burger place like a whole in the head. Do you have too many of one kind of place. KFC would do wonderful there.

Wow, that town still has a Pizza Hut! I didn't think any of those were around anymore! lol
I agree, there can certainly be over saturation of burger joints in every city. There should be more diversity in fast-food options.
I live in a major university town, so fast-food restaurants dominate the landscape, and they do extremely well with 60,000 hungry students! Luckily, we have a great diversity in the types of FF restaurants, so there is a little something for everyone. But, I will admit, burger joints definitely outnumber all the other options, although it seems most of the new FF restaurants opening lately have been chicken places.

a chicken place would be a welcome alternative. Hardees sells chicken, but I would like someplace who's focus is chicken, and not fried options would be preferable.

@snowy22315 What chicken places do you have near you? Some of our more popular ones are KFC, Zaxby's, Raisin' Canes, Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. There's probably another dozen that I can't think of right now, but those are the big ones around here.

@moffittjc We have all those in the city..but right in this immediate are just Hardee's. Alot of the convience stores have pretty good chicken too.

That's because burgers are easy to make and popular but beef prices through the roof, not sure why anyone would go that route right now?

What's wrong with a chicken place, or a donut shop ? I have been saying for years this place needs a donut shop. There are a lot of people who may not live here but drive through it and back to go to work.

Since Lake Charles is a medium sized town, there a few fried chicken places stores close to each other near my former neighborhood. I do miss one independent restaurant that sold hamburgers.

We had a Checkers here briefly years ago. I've never been to one. We have too many Starbucks.

I wish we had a Starbucks. I am in an area about a half hour South now near I95. They are building a bunch of aFF places here..maybe an Sbucks will show up.
