I thought about rhubarb crumble and custard this morning - outside it’s cold and wet. Serendipitously, my wife , unaware of my thoughts, has prepared rhubarb tart and custard to follow on from my chicken thing in a romesco sauce tonight.
This remarkable happenstance has lead me to bless you all with the attached photo of my current favourite garden plant - a rhubarb and custard hebe.
Isn’t the world a marvellous place!

What a lovely coincidence! My husband and I joke about having a "psychic connection", but there may be some truth to it.

@Traceyjayne My grandfather hated rhubarb with a passion, so his mom, his wife, and my mother never made it. And, it’s not really common in American restaurants.

@AmbiePam. Never had rhubarb …..good grief girl !
Rhubarb crumble and custard is simply comfort food ….
If there’s no crumble then just rhubarb and custard. ( you can get rhubarb and custard sweets here , not sure if you can in your part of the world )
My Grandad used to grow rhubarb in his garden and just cut a stalk off, wash it and would happily sit there dipping it in sugar and eating it raw.

We used to have Rhubarb in the garden,
