When I was 18, my friends and I went to this beautiful falls with 7 basins. We climbed at the very top coz there were no people there and we had the place all to ourselves. The water was very deep and I almost drowned but Scott saw me and rescued me. A year later, Scott died in a motor vehicle accident which devastated me. Several years ago, my friend and I went on a trip and I decided to revisit Jawili falls again. We swam in the same exact spot where I almost drowned. But this time, no Scott so I was being careful. The photo is of me staring at that spot where I almost drowned.

Just now
Sometimes revisiting the place that caused you trauma can be a healing moment. Now that you’re aware of what happened and know the person who once saved you is no longer around, it’s natural to be cautious there. You’re likely in a much better position to protect yourself now, stronger than you were before. See this second visit as a chance for healing rather than reliving the past trauma.

It is so interesting to me the different times in a person's life when their lives could take a different direction and as interesting the direction it actually takes. Destiny. Sounds like Scott was a good friend. It's sad that you lost him.
