Another good day

Did laundry, cleaned the kitchen..been putting off some chores, but Port is good today. Tom took his truck and dropped it off at the mechanic, should be ready by Tuesday. Tom goes in tomorrow to have a Watchman put in and have a procedure that helps keep blood clots away so he can get off of blood thinners. Our appointments overlap. I go in to have the doctor look at my Port and see if it will be ready for Tuesday Chemo. Busy week this week.
Tom and I worked together tonight to make Lemon Pepper Chicken wings. They were good, but I had to use Corn starch instead of baking powder to make them crispy. Won't do that again. Corn Starch made a not so good after taste. But..we now know that we can make them.

It's always good to have a good day. I know George hates being on blood thinner, but I know I can't stop them cold turkey either. I hope things go well for him and and you, too.

That's one thing about experimenting with cooking: you live and learn. Not all things are successful. At least you know how to make lemon peppy chicken wings and how to make them better. (I'll be right over. 
)

It sounds like you both have a very busy week ahead. I hope Tom's procedure goes smoothly tomorrow and that the Watchman does exactly what it's supposed to so he can eventually stop taking blood thinners. I'll also be hoping your doctor gives you the all-clear and that your port is ready for Tuesday's chemo without any issues.

Mix just a little corn starch with the baking powder or flour it makes them crispy but no after taste
