Imagine FIFA selling shares in ithe World Cup. Selling shares to private investors.
What? The ties between Gianni Infantino and President Donald Trump are the centre.
Thrive Capital, led by Josh Kushner, the brother-in-law of Trump's daughter Ivanka. is the head of the scheme.
This is the most treacherous action Infantino has made since he became Fifa president .
Apparently Infantino has enough support to suggest the plan is more likely to go ahead than not
Imagine that.

The idea of effectively selling a piece of the World Cup to private investors is absolutely extraordinary. The World Cup has always felt like something belonging to the sport, the participating countries, and the fans not something that should be divided up and sold to investment firms.
