Firestorms! That's the headline in Europe, tinder dry and forest and scrub fires raging in France and Spain, major cities under threat. But the fire storms are a new phenomenon in Europe. The fires are so big the smoke is creating actual clouds on clear blue sky days that can turn into rain clouds and even thunderstorms. I had not heard of these before. It's like the clouds that form around volcanoes and cause lightning. Unfortunately that nature phenomenon is not producing much rain to actually put out the flames and lightning and gusty winds produced more likely to start more fires. It still remains a fact that humans cause 95% of forest fire through interaction with that dry ground with sparks and what not. Even a bird tweeting away on a powerline can explode and fall to the ground and start a fire.
