Perhaps you knew about this but it's news to me, and it would have made my childhood much more enjoyable had I known it earlier. There is a snake, a Western Hooknose, which is found principally in the Chihuahua desert of Mexico and which has a defence mechanism called cloacal popping which you and I know better as farting. For real! It has even been observed farting so loudly and forcefully that it lifts itself off the ground. Did you know this?
