With all of my various health challenges I was expecting my blood sugar to be crazy too. They did bloodwork at the 1st part of this adventure. The NP went over the results with me on Friday night which was the day before I came here.
My blood sugar was 113. At first the NP was a bit concerned but then she looked at some other values (I don't remember what--maybe kidney function) and she said that the number was likely because it was a non-fasting test.
Well that's good to know. My mother always says that diabetes is the last thing that you want to have. My dad was diagnosed with it in the last couple of years of his life. I think he had to take a medication for it but then he started doing intermittent fasting and that seemed to do the trick.
At least that is one thing that I don't have to worry about. I have enough on my medical plate as it is.

Diabetes is a very hard health issue that has to be monitored everyday
I ended up with it when my gallbladder & Pancreas failed on me in 2023
& I had a heck of a time trying to get it on the right track with all kinds of
meds & 2 different shots everyday, but now I have it under control where
I have less meds to take & hardly have to take 2 shots a day.
I did a lot of research on what I had to do to get it under control & I found
that eating & drinking anything & everything with NO sugar & plenty of
exercise & rest, & yes fasting 2 x's a week helps as well.
Glad to hear you have a low A1c level, do you use a a1c monitor to keep
track of it everyday?? that's a big help, I use the Libra 3 freestyle monitor.
