Firefighters from the Neptune Fire Department were at the right place at the right time in Lebanon County in Pennsylvania around 12:30 am on Saturday at Richland Borough when a construction truck collided with another auto that crashed into the railroad gate and protective barrier which caused the truck to be stuck on the railroad tracks. Neptune firefighters Kevin Kepley and Daulton Faust as well as bystander Rory Righter risked their lives by running toward the construction truck to get the truck driver who was inside the truck while the train was coming on the railroad tracks with about 16 seconds to spare out of the truck before the train collided with the truck. The good news is that the truck driver was not injured in the incident due to the actions of the firefighters and the bystander since trains cannot stop on a dime when they are on the railroad tracks. Train collisions with trucks and human beings are very dangerous since they are censored on television.

Seeing a train collide with an auto stopped on the train tracks on the internet is very scary than the edited version of television.

That’s incredible. Those firefighters and the bystander showed real courage and quick thinking. It’s a relief that everyone made it out safely, especially with so little time before the train hit.
