Shopping Later...

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Later we're going to the store in the next town over. Thinking they might have more options than my local grocery store. We've picked up some meats and other animal products prior to starting this way of eating, but need more. I want to get some pork tenderloin to try out, a chuck roast if possible, and some different steak cuts that we haven't had. Also probably some more bacon and eggs. Anything else I could add, that's an animal product?

Being on a strict budget all the time, I stick to ground beef, chcken and different frozen options like chicken fingers, You got me thinking about short ribs,

Understand, we are too, but buying meat instead of junk food helps some. Short ribs? They could be an option

Well there's actually a couple lol, depending which direction you go. Oh no, not plenty...but buying meat instead of junk helps to get a little more. Not in store I don't think.

@MommyOfEli2013 Aye but even so Beef is really expensive there I was looking at Brady's Idaho Beef. Wow I thought it was expensive here Your prices in stores there are horrendous also I had my " daughter " check beef prices in Idaho And worse your prices are per pound and seem to be what we pay for kilos What budget have you got? That Brady's Idaho Beef looks good I would shop with them

@Ineeddentures I haven't a clue where that is though. Yes I do know it's expensive that's why I am not going to do a ton of beef. Except for ground. Maybe enough for a couple steaks a week We'll see what I come home with later

I’m just so proud of you for doing this. I never doubted this diet could work; I know people who have done it successfully. I just didn’t think you were going go and do it. I’m so glad you have.

Well I still would rather be eating the SAD diet lol, but I just look forward to my carb days that I am going to allow, couple times a month...but otherwise going to try to stick to this. Hoping my doctor will be happy when I go in September.

We did get a variety. Sadly not a lot of steak choices except maybe if we had asked the butchery to cut some for us.
