Meat Haul - August 4th, 2026

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Hopefully well. I shared earlier that I was going shopping for some carnivore essentials. I was hoping to find some of the cuts of steak I haven't tried before, if they weren't too expensive. Well, I didn't find too much. I could have probably got some from the butchery, I did see some ribeyes for over $20 a pound!! Nope not doing that. So what did we get? We did get a rump roast that I will cook in the crop pot for sort of a pot roast. That was never my favorite, but we'll see how I like it in the crock pot. That was $22 (forget the weight of it). Got a small package of cube steak for my husband's dinner. ($3.80) Got a package of uncured beef franks that were zero carbs with clean ingredients; they were $7.50 but it came with 8 of them. So a little under $1 each. Also got some beef patties for $10. I think there are 8 of them, so would that be $1.50 each? not too bad. I think that was all the beef items. Got a bit of pork - Got a package of thinly cut pork chops for $10 Also got a package of pork tenderloin, it's already cooked so just have to heat it up - $10 They had Wendy's bacon on sale for $3.99 ($3 off) so got 2 of those. Finally for the pork, got some pork breakfast sausage - $3.99. Oh, for beef and pork, my husband got some chorizo ($1.67 each) For chicken we only got one package of chicken breast for $5. I wanted to get some ground chicken to make chicken nuggets but they were $8 for the cheapest package. Seafood - I got a package of salmon - it has 20 oz so a bit over a pound. It was on sale for $12; saved $7! I love my salmon though. My husband picked out a package of shrimp for $5. I won't eat that lol 'As for dairy -- we got 3 different cheeses ~ string cheese, slices, and little cheese squares. All were under $4 (each) Misc - My husband wanted to try goats milk and goats cheese; those were more expensive, but likely not a buy often. Also he got some bologna; not clean carnivore but very low carb and it is still meat. Does that sound like enough for 2 weeks? We'll see. I will be going to Walmart on Saturday and I will try to get the few things I could not get here (a cheaper pork tenderloin that's not precooked, ground chicken, canned salmon, etc). Did not get eggs or butter because we still have some. Though I should have got more eggs since we will be going through them pretty fast. So, what do you think of the haul? Do you like the price break down, or should I have just shared the list of items? Just curious in case I do this again. I will be back to share my day of eating soon.

It all sounds great! I’m getting hungry just reading about it all! I can’t eat much with this tooth extraction so I think I just punished myself by looking at your post. I’m so excited for you!

Well glad it sounds good. That would be rough to not be able to eat much with that. The franks were good, and we tried the pork tenderloin today.

Yes, we did...it doesn't seem like a lot for the price though. Hoping it will last that long, minus having to buy more eggs/butter.
