Montana teen uses his lasso to rescue a man who was in the river

Jory Thomas who is a 14-year-old male was camping with his family near Greycliff Montana when he heard the cries for help from a man who was drifting downstream on the Yellowstone River on Sunday July 5. The man who was clinging to a cooler needed to be rescued when Jory decided to take action by using his skills to use a 12 foot lariat and throw the lariat at the man in an attempt to rescue him when the lariat was successful to land on the man who would have drowned had the lariat missed the target. Jory was able to yank him ashore safely until first responders arrived to take care of the man who nearly drowned to a safe place. Jory has been handling lassos for about one year working in the farm which he lives with his family by practicing his skills by using a cattle head he built in the backyard in Big Timber. The accident happened when a paddle board and a floating raft struck a bridge pillar which cause four persons to fall into the river which three of them being able to get to the shore safely.
