Why is this so hard??

Earlier this week I caught the end of a radio programme and in that they mentioned a previous episode all about ice cream and how it isn't as bad for you as you might think. And I thought that would be interesting listening and also I should mention it to Little One because she would eat ice cream three times a day if she could! Well could I find the episode? Could I heck. With digital radio it should be easy to go back to past episodes of anything you want to listen or re-listen to. But somehow I can never seem to find what I want Yesterday while I was doing some painting I was listening to a whole series of BBC Radio 4 podcasts. One was about antibiotic resistance and I wanted to post about it here and also provide the link - but of course now I can't find that either! I have searched through the BBC Radio 4 site, I've 'Googled' BBC radio 4 and the subject, I've been through the entire schedule for the past three days trying to find what I heard, and I just cannot find it! I can find all kinds of episodes of various programmes on related subjects from ten years ago, but nothing more recent. The whole thing is driving me mad and is such a waste of time - why is this so difficult?

Sometimes they have them blocked until you pay a subscription. It could be that

There's no charge for listening to BBC radio. And in any case we have a BBC TV licence so if it was linked to that I should be covered.

I have no idea why it is so difficult. I do however enjoy an ice cream every day

That’s quite a way to reward a listener for caring about the subject; just make it impossible to find.

Murphy’s law: you can find everything except what you want. Good luck in finding it.

I can understand how frustrating that is especially when you want to re=listen to something you heard. Radio should be like tv with pause, rewind and find at a later date. Hope somehow you can find those programs you want to hear again.
