Independence Ohio Police Department officer Sergeant Jeremy Harper answered an emergency call on Thursday when the older brother of a male teenager and his father called the police to inform them the young teenager wanted to end his life by jumping off of the Hemlock Trail Bridge due to mental health issues into the Cuyahoga River. The father of the teenager was grabbing his son while he was on the bridge ready to jump into the river when Sergeant Harper showed up along with other police officers to save the life of the teenager. Independence Police Chief Robert Butler mentioned that Sergeant Harper will be awarded a life-saving commendation in the future. Hopefully the teenager who wanted to end his life can recover from his mental health struggles soon and live a life with a purpose once again. Link is msn.com/en-us/health/g...

I'm glad they saved him But if he was going to jump he would have done so before his father got hold of him Sounds like more of a cry for help Hope he gets his mental issues sorted out And he should stay away from big bridges

You are right since I think that the teen told his dad he was going to jump into river and his dad took him seriously,

The teenage years are incredibly hard. The police officer is a hero, but so is the dad and brother for actively getting involved and paying attention to what was happening with their family member. They chose to get involved.
