Last week I was in my room doing Diamond Art because I had been so busy I hadn’t done any in over a week! I was also doing laundry.
I opened the door to check if my laundry was done and my hallway was full of water going into the living room area too. I looked to see where it was coming from….. the bathroom! I was thinking what could be happening. I opened the door and water was spraying from underneath the tank lid all up the wall!
I ran out feet and pant legs were wet but I ran in my room to grab my phone to call maintenance and they didn’t answer so I called right back, still no answer!
Ran back into the bathroom and the spraying had stopped but there was still water coming from somewhere. I walked closer to the toilet and see that the water hose had come loose and water was running out like crazy!. I looked beside it and seen the water turn off knob, I turned it off and started to grab towels to start soaking up water in the living room that had already gotten on the bottom of some of my 19 month old granddaughters toys.
Trying to hurry, considering this was clean water ( from the tank and incoming water) I picked up some things that had gotten a little wet and put them on the table and the dry things on the couch. My daughter come in and got mad at me because I did that and started throwing some of the toys away saying it was dirty water! How I wish my husband was here, he was a plumber and she would have listened to him. Anything I say is stupid!
I checked the other bedrooms entrances to see if there was any water in there. I didn’t see any. Then my daughter found it in the entrance way to each bedroom and got mad at me because I said there wasn’t. I didn’t see it! I was too busy doing everything else. Maintenance came and fixed whatever was going on with the toilet, helped us get water up.
Later the other people from a third party showed up with the blue drying fans. Put 4 in the living room and dining room area as well as pulling up the carpet at each bedroom doorway and sticking the nozzle blower part under the rug.
A few hours later I felt water from my closet, also going on the rug area against the wall down the one side of my very small room. I called the office but they were closed and the fan guys had left too. I had to pull all the bins out of my closet and put them in the hallway, which made my daughter’s boyfriend mad! I had to move my desk and dresser away from that wall so it was against my bed and I also had to pile my bed up with some of the stuff.
The next day the maintenance men came and said the fan people would be there to rearrange the fans. They came and put the fan in my closet because my doorway area had dried!
I needed to get under my bed and see if anything underneath had got wet. I pulled everything off and found a maintenance man who came and started to take my mattress to the trash for me then changed his mind and told me he wanted me to be able and sleep on it. I explained to him that I couldn’t. He said, “ You can! I will be back tomorrow.”
I had been getting cramps from moving everything and my arm was hurting from lifting more than 10 pounds and I was waiting for my Oncologist to call me back about the cramps. He did and he said I could go on! I found 2 boxes under my bed that had gotten wet. I ended up taking the bed up and putting the boxes out of the hallway in that corner. I ordered a twin cot that won’t be here till later this month!
Then my daughter found there was water in the closet for the baby. I told her to check her son’s room, which she didn’t and the next night she found his closet wet. The next morning she found that the rug in the room next to the closet wall was also wet. I told her to check underneath the baby’s crib, the next day she did and it’s soaked too.
