it's about 7:13 am here in Nigeria. I woke up around 30 minutes ago, checked my phone for notifications and replied to a few messages and comments on my posts. My stepdad's expected to be discharged from the hospital today and I'm so grateful for everyone praying for him. He's still having a very difficult time swallowing, and that's been the hardest part to watch. You can tell he's hungry, but he simply can't swallow his food. It's painful because you know he's still in there, but his body isn't cooperating. As someone said, it's like his body is against him because of his age. He's 93, so recovery is tough, but I'm praying he gets better, and hoping he never has to reach the stage of needing something like a feeding tube. As for me, I'm still in bed for now, but I'll be getting up soon to do chores, cook, and get ready for the day. It's quite cold, and after yesterday's rain, I'm not even sure the sun will make an appearance today, but if it does, that's a bonus.
