Excited for my next vacation!

I have no idea why I feel like this right now. I’m sooo drained. Maybe it’s because we even had to work on a Saturday ?? Our boss asked if we could come in because there was some urgent work.
To make it up to us, he treated us to lunch at a fancy restaurant, and then after we finished everything in the afternoon, he took us out again for dinner. There were only 4 of us — the friends he called in for overtime. He said he felt bad about it, but we were literally the only ones he could count on.
Aside from being tired from work, I think I’m also just excited to finally rest. Good news though — my boss approved my 2-week vacation! I’m sooo ready for it.

Your boss might be really generous for treating you to those meals. For that alone, it’s worth being grateful to have him as your boss, since he’s under no obligation to do so beyond paying you for the overtime that disrupted your weekend rest days.
Good luck with your upcoming vacation! How do you plan to spend those two weeks of rest?
