Philippines

Its raining for days now this storm is really something. There are a lot of flooded areas here now , some houses were under water and its very sad. We cant go out to clean or even clear things at our backyard . Its slippery and rains and winds cant be tamed. Our weather bureau told us that tomorrow or next day we will have a better weather. I hope this storm stops because I havent been washing clothes because of the rain . Fellow Lotters, have you experienced storm in your country? What are your safety measures?

I hope the storm passes soon. We had a home in Louisiana that flooded in 2016. It's very sad and hard to go through. And a super big mess to clean up. As for safety, if they tell you to get out, do it! My mom wasn't worried because not much flooding in her area, but water rose fast and had to be rescued by boat!

@kareng I think I remember that big flood in Louisiana its all over the news that year I guess. You are right its also chaotic after the storm, the cleaning and everything , these days, water levels in some area rise fast because of the amount of rain and yes true if they tell us to evacuate we will , its the current were afraid of.

@iKONICNoona Right that bad flood happened in 2016. Lots of ruin in Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

I believe this is not a real storm but just monsoon rain overload. The real typhoon is on the high seas and is not even making a landfall. They just drag this monsoon clouds to us which make them worst dumping in our lands.

Our worst storms and flooding usually occur when a tornado hits here. The flash floods come, the tornadoes hit, and it becomes very chaotic. I am so sorry your country is experiencing these troubles.

We had a storm here the other day but it didn't really impact on us too much. I'd done my laundry the day before so that was all good.
