Do you have a favourite walk?

My favourite place for an early morning walk is along the shore heading out of the miserable little town in which I live, move and have my being. I follow the promenade pictured above north to where it meets the main road out of town then I double back through the park that sits well above the sea and where, in a mound of fenced off earth, is buried one of the town fathers. As per his instructions he was interred standing upright looking out to sea and dressed in his sailor’s outfit. Silly plonker. I have several friends who make a crust in the interment business. More than just a miserable crust really - have you ever seen a malnourished undertaker? But I digress. One of the aforementioned friends discovered that her brother had made advance arrangements for his demise. But instead of using her good services he had booked himself in with an outfit 30 miles away. She was a bit offended that he hadn’t given his custom to her and asked why. The reason he gave was that he didn’t want her or anyone he knew seeing him naked. Anyway, as I started to say, I love my early morning walks along the shore. Where do you like to walk?

Early morning walk is a great way to keep fit. I'm just too lazy to do that

You’re a hoot. My favorite walk is Martin Nature Park in Oklahoma City.

@Ambiepam I do like it when there are parks and walks in a city. When in a foreign city we are content to just wander in parks rather than obey your guide books and live out the holiday ‘experts’ design for us. When we’re in Pisa at the end of the month I’ll have no interest in seeing their leaning tower - seen enough pictures of it. The cafes and restaurants are another thing.
