Orange rainfall warning and lots of wang wang

Classes in all levels have been cancelled again because of the heavy monsoon rains and perpetual flooding in the National Capital Region. Just now, my phone received a really loud orange rainfall warning from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. We are safe where we are and floods are not apparent, thank God. One of my daughters is having online classes today. At around 9 p.m. last night, we heard continuous siren from fire trucks along the C5 highway. We're used to hearing sirens from here every day, but not the kind that would last for hours. I couldn't sleep because I wanted to know what's going on. So, I searched X and found that there's a burning warehouse not very far from our community. The fire reached third alarm and was controlled after about 4 or 5 hours. It took a while before I got to sleep even though I took magnesium before bedtime. I have a bit of a trauma over those "wang wang" sounds. Many years ago, my family's house (where I grew up) almost caught fire. It was nighttime and I was roused by my mom's constant yelling. One of the huge trees in our property was starting to catch fire. I knew I had to get my important stuff but I couldn't decide properly so I just grabbed my passport, my wallet, and my small collection of Papemelroti stationery. It sounds so funny now. Still, the sound of fire trucks brings up that memory over and over.
