Something is Wrong

It’s incredibly frustrating when you spend a long time waiting in a queue at the bank, only to discover at the counter that the check you’re trying to deposit can’t actually be accepted. What makes it even worse is finding out there’s a new bank policy that blocks this type of deposit, a policy your company’s accountant wasn’t even aware of. The whole situation feels like a waste of time and energy, especially since it could have been avoided with better communication from both the bank and your workplace.
Moments like this make you question how information about important changes is being shared. Shouldn’t banks notify clients and businesses about such policy updates more proactively? And shouldn’t accountants and finance teams stay on top of these changes to prevent employees from going through this hassle? It’s not just the inconvenience, there’s also the embarrassment of standing at the counter, holding up the line behind you, and having to leave empty-handed.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with changing banking policies or being caught off guard by poor communication? How do you think companies and banks could handle this better?

Yes, I've had that exact scenario at my bank happen. Pretty worked online and got a check from one of the companies she worked for.... I tried to deposit her check into my bank account when the bank here in the US refused to accept her check because it was from a Canadian bank.
My boss at Walmart accepted the check and Walmart paid out the cash to Pretty in the end.
I hope yours works out as well as that experience did for us.
