So apparently there was another 'threat' against Trump. So he loads the plane with his people and reporters, and sneaks away. Perfectly normal for Trump.
But if there was a real threat, then those people may have died.
Sure, there are dozens of ways to cancel the flight and ensure everyone would be safe. But as Trump is the only person in his world who exists, it never occurred to him.
Right now his drooling supporters are suffering price increases and shortages. How many of them realise that in his world they don't exist?

POTUS is not Potus without President on board so any terrorist with a rocket launcher would take out both planes. I suspect he shat himself again and sticking the plan eup
