Every year for some reason there seems to be 3 drownings in the lake. I thought there were only two this year, but I was reminded of another. Anyway, sadly this one was an off duty fireman. Apparently he dove off a boat and never resurfaced. He was only 24 years old. I would presume alcohol was involved..RIP Mason!

It was sad. I saw some f those firefighters in February. They stopped at the local shopping center and bought girl scout cookies. I wonder if he was one of them?

Every year, never fails...unnecessary drownings. You would think the young fireman would have been more cautious, but we just never know.

I guess it is possible he just got disoriented in deep water, but we will never know. Seems quite unlikely with his background, they probably train in water rescues

@snowy22315 If they did an autopsy, which they often do in those cases, they no doubt know if he had a heart attack, physical condition, etc. But no, most will never know the reason, if anyone does.

I would have expected a fireman not to haves gotten himself into that situation.
